NEW YORK (1010 WINS) Soup is like a hug. It’s so true, and it’s the sentiment behind Million Gallons, a grassroots charity that’s taking shape as the coronavirus crisis heightens in the metro area.

It’s the brainchild of chef Eric Korn, Executive Chef at Monteverde at Old Stone in Cortlandt, New York and restauranteur Louie Lanza, who’ve have set a goal to cook 1 million gallons of soup to provide to food industry workers.
